After the make-up session, I went in a local
billiard club, where I, my friends and my classmates had a wonderful billiards
competition. Of course me and Hristina were in one team and won as we always
do. The game was blazing and very emotional but in the end we came out as
winners. It was a wonderful way of ending my two CAS years, and I must say I
will miss these events because they played very significant role in my life,
they changed me, made me the person I am now. At least I am glad that I have my
blog so that I can always open it and remember the fun I had every single time
when I had to do something.

Visiting beauty saloon and getting make-up – 22.03
After long and tiresome day at school, we went
to a beauty saloon where we got free professional make up for the holiday. It
was really cool to get the make-up from professional make-up artists. It was
really pleasant and I felt relaxed and calm. I enjoyed myself a lot and also I
the make-up artist showed us how to put make-up properly, because nowadays most
girls don not know how to do it.
Selling cards for charity – 22.03
While making the cards, we simultaneously sold
them too, because every finished card was left on a flat surface where people
could look at it and if somebody liked a card he just gave the money to us and
we later gave it to our CAS coordinator. Selling cards was not difficult but
after we finished making them we actually started walking around the school,
offering cards. Many people bought one and we all felt very good because we
raised a lot of money for charity again.
Making of stamps and cards – 22.03
After we helped around the school we went to
the library where we had the chance to learnsomething new – this time we made
stamps out of potatoes and I was very amused by it. However, carving into a
potato proved to be more difficult that it looked so I had to be very patient
about it. After the stamp was carved, I laid a layer of paint on it and stamped
the blank pieces of coloured paper. Thus a card was created in a very fun way.
The cards were intended for sale with charitable cause and I was very happy
that I was able to contribute.
School’s open door day – 22.03
As usual
school’s open door day was in the same day as Tarnovo’s official holiday. When
we got at school we first showed people around the school and talked with them
about the benefits of studying in a private school. Most of the people were
amazed of the beautiful building of the school and I felt proud that I am part
of such a wonderfull institution. Also I was very sad because this reminded me
that I was soon going to leave the building, the institution and the people… I
really want to slow time down in order to enjoy my last moments in Veliko
Tarnovo better. I will miss it so much!
Theater play – 13.03
1st of March preparation – 28.02
Today we made martenitsi. I and some other
students made a lot of them and they were very pretty. We came up with our
original models and felt very free to experiment with the soft coloured wool
that the martenitsi are made of. After making around 30 martenitsi I went home
to study for my exams. I feel very stressed now, because the time is getting
shorter and I hope that I will be able to finish the IB programme with good
results.
Charity club – 27.02
Today we discussed the events we are going to
participate in on 1st of March. We talked about how many martenitsi
we need to make in order that there are enough for everyone in the retirement
home for old people that we are going to visit tomorrow and also to decide on
what exactly our short greeting program will consist of. I was not going to
participate in the program but I helped the teachers to make it and I also read
the part of a girl that was missing. We
decided that we will read to the people traditional Bulgarian tales, dedicated
to the holiday and also some of the students that were going to the home are
going to sing. After we made the script we also practiced it and then we were
free to go home and rest.
Making of hearts for the Municipality – 14.02
After the sale of the cards and hearts, I went
back to the library where I helped my class mates in the making of two very big
greeting hearts that were intended to be given as a gift for the holiday to the
mayor of Veliko Turnovo and to the head editor in the local newspaper. The
hearts were quite big and needed more people to work on them in order to do the
job more effectively and I must say that in the end the hearts looked very
beautiful - they were in full harmony
with the occasion and our own moods in that moment. After we were done, several
of my classmates went to the municipality and the newspaper in order to give
the hearts to the people they were made for with a lot of love.
Saint Valentine’s bazaar – 14.02
Today we sold almost all of the cards and
bracelets we made. A lot of people bought them because the products were very
pretty and some people even bought several for their family. We enjoyed
ourselves while selling since we had the opportunity to talk to all our
friends, who came to buy stuff from us. We raised a lot of money for charity
and we are very grateful to all the people who helped us selling the cards,
because it is hard for us now to spend a lot of time for such events.
Art club – 08.02
On 08.02 we hand made many Saint Valentine’s
Day cards and bracelets, which are going to be sold on 14.02 for charity. We
had fun as always and we made a lot of awesome bracelets and cards. Many
students form the lower grades helped us to prepare for the holiday and we were
very grateful to them as we have a lot of studying going on.
CAS meeting for the 4th term – 02.02
Today we gathered in the library in order to
come up with the new planning page for the 4th term. This time there weren't many events to
participate in, because as the final exams are getting closer, we need more
time to study and prepare for the exams but the events no matter their number, are very interesting this term too. I noticed that we have got a lot better at composing our planning pages and I remembered our first CAS meeting - how we didn't know what to do and how confused we were. However, as usual we had a lot of fun and the meeting made me think that I will miss our gatherings so much when I graduate!
Walk on an eco-route – 31.01
The route starts at one village near Veliko
Tarnovo, called Plachkovci. We went there by train and after that we walked the
distance between Plachkovci and Triavna by foot. At first the weather was a bit
too cold, but as the sun got higher in the sky, the temperatures rose and we
were able to enjoy ourselves as much as possible. The whole walk was so
pleasant because the walking distance was not too little neither too great and
we arrived in Triavna just as we were starting to get more tired - it was the
perfect moment for a warm soup and a hot beverage in a local restaurant. It was a really great way of spending the day, because we
actually get to spend the one warmer day of January in a new place, that both
familiar from pictures of friends and yet unknown for us. I had a lot of fun
and actually improved my navigational skills, because the path through the
mountain was marked scarcely and I had to use all my senses in order to find
the right way. No matter of the mild dangers, I had an incredible fun and I am
eager for more as soon as possible!
Theatre play – 25.01
We watched a modern version of the ancient
renaissance novella “Decameron” in our local theatre and I must say that I
loved it! Usually I don’t like ancient literature but I loved the way the
director had changed the play in a way that was more approachable by modern
young people. The actors were amazing and I spend the time in the theatre in
best mood I have ever been in for a long time.
Making Valentine’s Cards – 25.01
Today we again spend several hours working on
valentine’s cards for the holiday. I again managed to produce a lot of them for
which our CAS coordinator was very pleased. I found out that the longer I kept
doing them the better I was becoming at it. It was great time spend with
friends in a cosy atmosphere.
Giving smiles on World Smile Day – 25.01
Today we spend two hours of walking around the
school and giving everybody one paper smile on the shirt, because we didn’t
want to see frowns on this joyful holiday. Even if somebody was grumpy, a smile
on their clothes made them feel a bit better because we paid attention to every
person we met and asked them whether or not they are ok and if not, can we help
with something. I had great time communicating with so many people and I am
very glad that events such as this are celebrated in our school, because in my
opinion in this way we show that we are in time with cultural events in a more
global aspect of the question.
Making Smiles for World Smile Day – 21.01
Today we made smilies for World Smile Day which
was a very fun thing to do. The smilies were made from sticky paper, as we
printed them on it and then coloured them with bright colours. After colouring
them we cut them out of the paper and prepare them for sticking. The idea is on
World Smile Day to give everybody a smile, even a paper one, so that everybody
can have one bright day in school. It was awesomely spend time with my friends
– just making smiles and smiling J
Making of Valentine’s cards – 18.01
We made Valentine cards for the holiday. Every
card included a love wish for the people you love and the cards were very
pretty. I ain showed myself as a creative person and made a lot of cards. I
felt great pleasure as always when I am creating something with my hands and of
course I had a lot of fun. It was really cool to observe how 15 different
people are making cards with the same passion.
Christmas Charity Prom – 21.12
On this year’s Christmas Charity prom we had
the opportunity to have more fun that we have ever had because we did not
organised it this time. However we helped a lot to the girls that were in
charge of the party this time and we managed to relief their burden
significantly by handling some of the trickiest jobs since we had more
experience than them. We co-hosted the event, stood on the entrance to check if
everyone had their tickets and of course we observed if the dress code was
being kept. I had an amazing time and another chance to prove that my
organizational and leaderships skills are getting better with every event I
take part in.
Charity club – Christmas Bazaar – 15.12
The Christmas Bazaar called “Christmas box” is
an event that let us to collect money for charity while having fun. There was a
bazaar in front of the school’s auditorium at which we sold hand-made items
which were very beautiful and were not very expensive. We managed to raise a
lot of money and still have fun because after the items were sold, everyone was
invited in the auditorium where every class from the school had to perform a
little play. Our was a short show, in which I played a little gipsy kid around
the holidays. My job was to annoy as much as I can my artificial parents and to
have fun on the stage, of course. I found myself developing my acting skills
and I must say that this was the funniest thing I have done in a lot of
time.
Helping for the organization of Christmas Charity Prom – 07.12
Today I helped the girls that are organizing
this year’s Christmas Charity Prom with walking around the classrooms and
making lists of those who wish to attend the prom. I spend quite a lot of time
with the girls and I managed to get to know them better because they are from
another class and I don’t have the opportunity to communicate very often with
them. I had great time and felt very good as I made new friends.
International Volunteer Day – 05.12
We honoured the International Volunteer Day as
we gathered all of the people participating in the European voluntary corpus
and all of the participants were awarded with certificates for taking part in
the project. I was really exciting to me to receive some acknowledgements for my
long term dedication to charity and volunteer work. It was very pleasant
occasion to meet my friends from the corpus and to have a lot of fun while we
spoke before and after the gathering.
Selling the IB newspaper – 01.12
On 01.12 we once again sold the new issue of
our IB newspaper, which was this time dedicated to world AIDS day. This issue
of our local project was full with information about the problem. We all put
allot of effort in the newspaper in order to better inform the people in the
school about the event. We sold a lot of copies of the newspaper because
everyone was compassionate with the victims of HIV. The money collected is
going for charity as usual. I felt as being part of the wold event and also as
if I was contributing a little for the solution of the problem.
Giving stigmas – world AIDS day – 01.12
Today it is the world AIDS day and as always
our school showed its compassion for the victims of the virus with attaching
red stigmas on our clothes. We went earlier to school and stood at the entrance
for one hour in order to give everyone stigmas. Every student and teacher got
one and we were all part of the world event.

Local project – creating the new issue of the IB newspaper – 23.11
Today we made the new issue of the IB newspaper. This time it was dedicated to World AIDS day and the issue was full of information about the disease. We wanted to inform our school mates about the problem and make them feel compassionate about the victims that have lost their lived due to this awful syndrome. The work on the newspaper went without problems and I was glad that this time we worked fast and effectively, which in my opinion is evidence that we are getting better at this and we are improving ourselves as writers and editors. As always the newspaper gave a chance to express myself and to write about the things I think were important and I think that AIDS day is very painful topic that deserves our attention.
International project – European Year of Volunteering – 17.11
On 17.11 we went to Sofia to take part in an international meeting of volunteer groups, where we took part of a discussion about volunteering. Some of the questions that were raised included topics like how can voluntary work be promoted in order to become more popular and which problems deserve more attention that they are getting. The meeting enhanced my communicative abilities since I had to converse with people all around the world. I spoke English and German which was unique opportunity for me to exercise my languages. It was a great event with great people and I can only wish that in the future I will have more opportunities to visit such events where I can meet new people and discuss questions that are really important for me.
Preparing for AIDS day – 15.11
In our school we have always honoured AIDS day
and this years does not come as an exception. Today we brought home the
materials given to us by our CAS coordinator and we made stigmas from red paper
as we always do. On the day we will give away the stigmas at the entrance of
the school in order to for everybody to show compassion for the victims of this
awful disease.
Going to Slavi’s show – 11.11
In the evening of 11.11 we and my classmates went to see Slavi’s show live. I usually would not go to see it but since I was not the one to determine where we would go, I just had to. I personally find Slavi too offending as a host and I really don’t like him, but it was very interesting for me to observe how a TV show was made. The most bizarre thing about it was the fact that the studio, when watched on TV seemed enormous, while in fact it was rather small and dark place. The sad thing was they took our posters that we made in front of the studio because the security said we could not bring them in. However, we spent good time because as always I was with my awesome friends.
Visiting “Earth and Man” museum – 11.11
On 11.11 we had the opportunity to visit the
“Earth and Man” museum in Sofia and I must say that this was the most boring
thing that I have ever done. I am not a fan of geology and you could imagine
the pure boredom I felt when listening for “interesting” types of rocks…This
visit was truly an embodiment of boredom and I am not glad that I went there
and I did not have any fun. Yes, I learnt some new facts about quartz and its
different derivatives but that was not voluntary and if I had the chance to
choose I would not have learnt these new things.
Trip to Sofia – 11/12.11
We set of on the journey to Sofia early in the
morning of 11th November. The main goal of the trip was to visit
some museums but we also did shopping, sight-seeing and also had the chance to
visit one of the Bulgaria’s most famous TV shows – Slavi’s show. It was an
amazing experience that I found to be extremely fun. I am very happy that I was
able to go there and see the things a saw J
Making posters for the Slavi’s show – 09.11
On 09.11 we were assigned to make 2 posters for
the Slavi’s show which we are going to visit on our trip to the capital city of
Bulgaria – Sofia. Slavi Trifonof is a very famous shows man in Bulgaria, but I
can’t say that I like him. However I helped for the posters and they turn out
to be very good looking and nicely done. On the first poster we wrote the name
of our school and on the second one we wrote “we love Slavi” although the
second statement was not entirely true. Despite this, I was proud with the
result and can’t wait to wave the posters in the public of the show.
Art club – Christmas workshop – 05.11
Today in art club we made Christmas glasses
using special paint for glass. It was a very pleasant thing to do and I cannot
describe how beautiful the glasses turned out. It was an amazing experience and
I must say that I learned something new that would enable me to do my favourite
thing – saving old things from certain death by refreshing them and giving them
second chance to live. I felt very happy when I watched and admired my glasses
because they were my own creations and for me every creation is sacred.
Training for equality – 26.10
On 26.10 I went in the European Volunteer
Centre for the 3rd meeting concerning equality and very excited to
find out that the meeting would be about speaking in public. As always we
played a lot of interacting games and had lots of fun but the important thing
is that I developed my ability to speak in front of many people, which I was
afraid to do before, but with the help of some friends and a great tutor I was
able to overcome myself and actually improve a personally quality of mine,
which will be extremely useful not only for special occasions, but in my daily
life too. I felt very proud when I walk out the room and I may say that it was
a wonderful experience that I will never forget.
Charity club – sorting clothes – 21.10
Today we sorted clothes with the other members
of the charity club as and usual we had a lot of fun while doing it. The
collected clothes are going for orphanages and I was proud to be part of such a
noble initiative. I gave the best of me in order to do my job properly and I
feel good from the job done. I can’t wait to take part in other events like
this because they are the evidence that people do are for other people and we
are willing to make sacrifices in order to help to someone in trouble, because the
fact that we gather a lot of clothes showed that a lot of people are willing to
donate.
Elections at the college – 24.10
On 24.10 we held the annual elections at our
college. The events consist of electing a president and vice president from the
students, who will represent the student society at teacher’s councils. This is
a great opportunity for students to be heard and I was glad that I had the
chance to participate in the event. My job was to sit next to the ballot-box
and watch out if anyone is trying to cheat. However there were no problems and
for one more time I saw for myself that the people I am in one school with are
great one, since nobody tried to cheat on the elections.
Art club – 20.10
On 20th October we gathered in the
library for another of our art club meetings where we always find something
interesting and new to do. Today we made pads for candles from old CDs and I
was glad to know that I am doing something that is fun and useful in the same
time because I felt as if we were recycling the CD which would be otherwise
thrown away. This case is a good way of showing how important little actions
are, because some people, and especially people in Bulgaria, think that if you
have to do something good for the environment it must be something big and if
you don’t have the opportunity to do such thing you shouldn’t waste your time
and you should do nothing. This is not true, because little actions accumulate
and if everyone do something small but valuable we are all going to live in a
better world. However, the pads we made
were very beautiful and they are going to be used as kind of a candle sticks
because a little candle will be put in the centre of every CD, covering the
hole in the middle and making a beautiful and yet simple present for the
holidays. I felt very grateful that are people such Ms. Petarcheva who would
show us such amazing and easy things to do with some useless old CDs. I love it
when you make something new out of something old, because I fell as is I am
giving a second chance to the thing.
Training for equality – 17.10
Today was our 2nd training for
equality, which was on the topic Leadership. We learned how important leaders
are for team work but we also became aware of the fact that a leader is not
equal to a despot but one must listen to others and be patient in order to
succeed in team work. Being a leader does not let you go around and like a
boss, it is quite the opposite actually, it involves a lot of talking with the
people you are working with and sharing your ideas with the rest of your
colleagues. Again I felt how important and valuable the information we got was
and I am very pleased to be part of this event more than ever! The knowledge I
gained on this training would be so useful for my future life that I know feel
more confident about what is still to come because I can feel that I am a
little bit more prepared to face the unknown when I now can deal with
situations in a more calm and confident manner.
Charity club’s organizational meeting – 10.10
Today was our organization meeting for the
charity club. On the meeting we were told what events we will take part and we
had to decide who will go where and we made several lists of people for the
different events. I was pleased to see that there were many new members and I
believe that there are more coming in because as far as I can see the new eight
graders are very active and responsible young people, with whom I will be very
happy to work with. We dismissed the meeting when everything was organised and
I must say that we did a great job. It was pleasant as always to be among
people who share your passion to philanthropy!
Training for equality – 06.10
On 06.10 me and class mates of mine went to the first meeting of volunteers that wanted to be trained on the topic “equality”. We went to the European centre in our city, which is a building that hosts European events that are funded by the European Union. When we walked in the room we were supposed to train in, I was amazed of that how big the group was, and I even worried about how exactly we would train efficiently when we are so many, but my worries were in vain because our tutor was great and very cool. We started off the training with an interactive game which aim was to make us know the people that we were not familiar with in the room. After that we had discussion about our own opinion on equality and then we proceeded with the first part of the training which was communication and team building. This first gathering was all about playing interactive team building role plays that aimed for better communication between each other. For me it was an amazing experience to see so many young people working together for such a good cause. It was an incredible experience that I loved so much! I do not often go into one room, visit and event, and on my way out notice that I have gained new skills in such an important field such as communication and team building. The thing we learned to do will be beneficial for in every sphere I can think of and I very grateful that I had the opportunity to participate in this project. I cannot wait until the next meeting which we will be on the topic Leadership. More information about the project is accessible at http://europeinfocentrec.blogspot.com/2011/09/blog-post_12.html .

First CAS meeting for 3rd term - 04.10
On 04.10 me and my classmates once again
gathered in the school library with our CAS coordinator in order to decide on
the events we will be participating during the 3rd term. It was very
fun as always, but this time I noticed that everybody was doing his job more
quickly, we decided what we will do two times faster than our previous meeting
and I could not hold myself but to notice that we are getting way better in what
we do. It has always been interesting for me to observe how people learn to
perform certain activities bit by bit, one step at the time, to watch how
quantitative repetition turns into qualitative alternation and we gradually
become better at what we do. I am very pleased to notice that such changes have
affected me too and could not be more thankful to my CAS coordinator – Ms. Petarcheva,
who supports us and gives us the unique opportunity to develop our personal
qualities and convert them into real-life experience while we actually have
fun. Thank you, Miss =]

First CAS meeting for 3rd term - 04.10
Mid-summer day (school’s holiday) – 24.06
Today it was our school’s holiday at which we
got to present the presentations we made about our trips to different Bulgarian
cities. When it was my turn to get on the stage, I felt very nervous, but once
I got under the spotlight I felt great and continued with my performance. I did
make a couple of mistakes but I manage to cover them thank to my
communicational skills that I have developed during my CAS projects, which
always involve some kind of communication with a lot of people. After the presentation we continued to
participate in the programme as assistants, who helped to carry the awards to
the stage. We also co-hosted the show and even sang on the microphone. This was
not very successful because we can’t sing, but after all we had such great time
that we didn’t care we looked stupid :D We laugh a lot and had a lot of fun,
which is the important thing and in my opinion, this school’s holiday was one
of the most interesting ones that I have witnessed. I just had the feeling that
the whole school was one big family and I was quite disappointed when
everything was over, because rarely do you see around 200 people being as
united as we were.
Organizing Mid-summer day events – 23.06
On 23.06 I helped in the organization of our
school’s holiday. First I had the job to gather all of the music that will be
played and make a playlist out of it. After that I had to label the different
rooms for the people who will change clothes for the show in them. After doing
that, I proceeded with helping to build the sets on the stage, which was quite
tricky because the work involved climbing on a very high ladder, which I was
very afraid to do, because I have fear from heights. However, besides this
unpleasant moment, I had a little bit exhausting but otherwise I had a
wonderful day of full value.
Making of awards for the Mid-summer day events – 22.06
Today we made the awards for the different
categories of the show, dedicated to the school’s holiday. We used stars to me
something like diplomas for the winners of the different competitions. While we
made these awards we had so much fun that my stomach hurt from laughing. I also
practiced my skills in painting, which I adore doing. In overall it was a great
day filled with many pleasant emotions and activities!
Creativity club – 21.06
On 21st June in Creativity club we
had the very important mission to make Oscarius for the school’s holiday. This
was very fun experience because we had to dress empty wine bottles as boy and
girl and make them look like statuettes. We did a great job with them and we
felt great when we finished them because they looked amazing! At first I didn’t
think that they will turn up so good but after I again convinced myself that
when you put your heart in something there is no way to be disappointed by the
results!
Making of a presentation for Mid-summer day – 30.05
On 30.05
I had to make a presentation, containing the most interesting information about
the trip we had to Varna, Kavarna and Balchik. The presentation was part of our
school’s project, according to which every class from the school had to go on
an excursion in a different city. After our return we had to make presentation
in order to tell the other student what we have saw and done on our trip. My
presentation was not very long but it had a lot of amazing pictures from the
trip. I told about every interesting thing I remembered from the excursion and
I was very pleased with the final results from my work. It did not take me long
to complete the task because making presentations is my hobby. I hope that my
class mates will enjoy it, because I do J
Trip to Balchik – 26.05
On the next day we went to Balchik, where we
visited the castle of the Romanian Queen – Maria. The castle is not vast but it
is very beautiful and has an enormous botanical garden that has various exotic
flowers and is very famous in Bulgaria. We spend more than a half day of
touring around the castle and the garden, but the long walk was worth it
because I saw some of the prettiest flowers I have ever seen. I was also amazed
by the grace which the place radiated and I felt very sad we suddenly it was
time to leave and get on the far more ugly bus, where the only flowers were the
ones on the upholstery.
Trip to Kavarna – 25.05
In Kavarna we visited the memorial of the
famous heavy metal musician, singer and songwriter Dio, where we put some
balloons in order to honour his memory. We also went to see the place where the
annual rock festival is held and noticed that a lot of foreigners have chosen
to stay and live in the town. We also went to great parks, which were very well
maintained and impressed me with their great variety of flowers that were
planted in the gardens. After that we went in a restaurant to eat and got on
the bus again in order to continue our journey.
Trip to Varna – 25.05
On 25th May we went to Varna – a
city that is known as the marine capital of Bulgaria. The city is the second
biggest in the country and it is a really amazing place. There is a beautiful
sea garden that we visited. In the garden we saw old ships and anchors that
were exhibited, also there were swans swimming in the lakes and other exotic
birds that inhabited the garden. After the garden we went to the beach where we
had great fun. It was great to sit in the sand and just watch the waves
crushing into the beach. Because Tarnovo is far from the sea, I cherish every
moment I get to spend on the shore of Black Sea, because it is very beautiful
and pleasant. After the beach we went to the centre of the city, where we visit
the malls and shops, at which we went to a shopping therapy. This was a great
ending of the visit and we got on the bus with smiles on our faces, pleased
from the wonderful day we spent in one of the most beautiful cities in the
Country.
Tennis – 13.05
While yesterday I was not able to win the match
with my trainer, today I actually won! I could not believe it and I am still
dizzy from the winning. It was great day and I even celebrated because I really
did not think that I am good enough to win against him. At the end of the game,
my teacher said to me that I have finally reached the moment when the student
surpasses the teacher, which made feel very proud! I can only hope for my
skills to continue to thrive in future!
Tennis – 12.05
On 12.05 I went to play tennis again and I was
even better than the last time I played. My teacher said I getting more
confident in my moves and I was very pleased to hear that because I have always
had trouble with taking quick decisions for the game. I was very happy to hear
that I am now over this flaw of mine and I continued my game with even more
determination to win. Of course I was not able to beat my tutor, but there is
time to get good enough in order to beat him. I had so muc fun that I am really
looking forward to the next training!
Tennis – 10.05
Today was my first tennis lesson for the 2nd
term and it went great. The last time I played tennis was long time before but
I found that I haven’t lost shape and I am still good at it. As usual when
playing tennis, I was very tired at the end of the practice but I was also
pleased from the game. I improved my backhand and service skills and managed to
win a couple of points in a match against my teacher. I had a wonderful time
and great fun while playing! This training really kindled my passion for the
game and I am now eager for more action on the court.
Theatre play – 09.05
We visited the local theatre to watch a student
made play, called “The Party”. At the beginning of the play I thought it looks
promising but after a while I found out that the actors lack any sense of
acting and I spend the rest of the play in complete boredom. I was really
annoyed by the play and I could not wait for it to finish. At the end of it I
was grateful that everything was over and hurried to leave the hall in order to
save myself from the negative feelings that took power over me during the play.
Giving the collected books to the local library – 21.04
When we went to give the books we collected with our campaign we did not expect such a warm welcoming form the staff of the library but the people working there were really grateful for the donated books. They showed us around the library and let us see the archives of the building which was an incredible experience. I had the feeling that I was walking around history when we got down stairs in the basement where the archives of national document is housed. I had the chance to see some very interesting pieces of written history which would not be possible without the assistance of the librarians. I would like to thank them very much for the tour around the library and the things they showed us. I found out that being a librarian is not an easy job and it takes a lot of organizational skill to do the job. The women working there showed us some of their daily obligations and explained us the way books are organised and classified. I learned many new things and started to realise how important and valuable libraries really are.
Seeing off the seniors – 02.05
Today we said “Goodbye” to our senior at
schools. It was a really sad day for me because a lot of my best friends are
graduating this year and they are leaving the school. We gave them flowers on
their way to the auditorium where the ceremony was held. I was very sad to see
my friends leave and I cried a lot. However I realised that it is time for them
to move on and managed to stop my tears just in time for the pictures outside
of the school.
Painting eggs for Eastern – 19.04
On 19th April we went in the local
retirement home for old people, with which we have a long lasting relationship
of events for helping the residents of the facility. As it was the Great
Thursday – the day when woman should paint the eggs – we went to help the
people in the home to do their eggs. It was extremely fun to do this and we
made some very beautiful eggs. As always the people from the home were
incredibly kind and open hearted and I spend an amazing time with them. Before
painting the eggs we put a little show for the residents of the home as we read
to them some of the best poems dedicated to the bright holiday that was still
to come. I found myself developing my communicational skills because I had the
chance to talk to most of the home’s dwellers. It was one amazing day spend
with amazing people and I was very glad that I had the opportunity to
participate in it.

Collecting books for charity – 14.04
Our charity club decided to help the local
library as we collect vintage books in order to donate them in the library. The
books were gathered from any students and teachers that wished to donate some
books. We managed to collect a lot of fine literature works that I am sure will
be of great value for the library. I was glad to be part of such a wonderful
initiative because I myself am a very keen reader and I was very excited from
the chance to help the local public library.
