Art club – 20.10

On 20^th October we gathered in the library for another of our art club meetings where we always find something interesting and new to do. Today we made pads for candles from old CDs and I was glad to know that I am doing something that is fun and useful in the same time because I felt as if we were recycling the CD which would be otherwise thrown away. This case is a good way of showing how important little actions are, because some people, and especially people in Bulgaria, think that if you have to do something good for the environment it must be something big and if you don’t have the opportunity to do such thing you shouldn’t waste your time and you should do nothing. This is not true, because little actions accumulate and if everyone do something small but valuable we are all going to live in a better world.  However, the pads we made were very beautiful and they are going to be used as kind of a candle sticks because a little candle will be put in the centre of every CD, covering the hole in the middle and making a beautiful and yet simple present for the holidays. I felt very grateful that are people such Ms. Petarcheva who would show us such amazing and easy things to do with some useless old CDs. I love it when you make something new out of something old, because I fell as is I am giving a second chance to the thing.
