For 5th of October (teacher’s day) we decided to bake muffins for all the teachers in the school. We had to make 60 muffins, following strictly my grandmother’s recipe, which does not include the traditional ingredients but had some secret products in it. Although we had great fun while preparing, mixing and baking the products, it was tiresome…very tiresome! To make 60 muffins with only 12 forms is not an easy task to complete and we all got quite nervous at the end of the fifth hour of baking - it was hot everywhere, we were exhausted, hungry and sleepy but after all we managed to do it and the result was magnificent. The muffins were very nice, they hardly even looked home made! We also attached little fortune slips to them, by tying them with a colorful string to the muffins. But when I really felt great was the next day, when we firstly greeted out teachers on the radio with a special speech for the occasion, and then we gave them the muffins. What was interesting for me to observe was their reaction when they received our little treats - how flattered they were by our gesture! I was really satisfied by the result because that was all we did this for – just to make out teachers feel a bit better for a day =]
